Today’s Black History Month post is in dedication to Thomas Sankara, a Marxist revolutionary and President of Burkina Faso from 1983-1987. Sankara successfully fought back against imperialism and nationalized wealth. He was assassinated in a coup in 1987, but his words and legacy live on.
